PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aroma generator having a function efficiently generating aroma of moderate strength and providing superior amenity, even if being used for a long time, by preventing the aroma from getting excessively strong. SOLUTION: This aroma generator 1 consists of a base part 11 being dipped and sucking aromatic combustible liquid, a heating part 13 integrated with the outer circumferential edge of the base part 11 annularly and including heating catalyst, a vaporization part 12 integrated with the base part 11 by a porous material at the central part of the heating part 13 and vaporizing the combustible liquid sucked by the base part 11 by the heating from the heating part 13, and a recessed groove part 14 disposed between the heating part 13 and the vaporization part 12 and having a cross section upward extending from the base part 11. The vaporization part 12 has no opening part communicated with outside air to prevent the aroma from getting excessively strong, the vaporization part 12 has a crest part higher than a tapered face and the heating part 13, and the strength of the radiant heat of the heating part 13 is strong in the lower part and weak in the upper part of the vaporization part 12 so as to provide the improved effect of the aroma generation efficiency.
