<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective cover for wiring and a piping member, enabling an easy release of the engagement when a base and a cover are assembled by engagement, without reducing an engagement force. <P>SOLUTION: In this protective cover for wiring and a piping member, the base V<SB>1</SB>and the cover L<SB>1</SB>are assembled by the engagement of an engagement hole (engagement part) 27 and are formed so as to face the inside of the opposite side wall part 21a of the cover L<SB>1</SB>with a projection to be engaged (part to be engaged) 12 formed on the base V<SB>1</SB>so as to be disposed between the engagement hole 27 and a projection to be engaged (part to be engaged) 12, and the engagement is released by inwardly deflecting the opposite side wall part 21a of the cover L<SB>1</SB>. A first connection wall part 25 for applying the inward deflection of the opposite side wall part 21a of the cover L<SB>1</SB>directly on the engagement hole 27, is disposed between the opposite side wall part 21a of the cover L<SB>1</SB>and the engagement hole 27 formed in the cover L<SB>1</SB>.
