<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar system which can determine a ghost which occurs through the reflection of a radio wave by a wall or the like with high precision. <P>SOLUTION: In the radar system, a reflection characteristic determination means acquires the reflection characteristic of a wall on the side. The reflection characteristic determination means determines whether or not the acquired wall reflection characteristic is not less than a predetermined threshold. A virtual wall setting means sets, when the acquired wall reflection characteristic is not less than the predetermined threshold, a virtual wall on the side of a detected target. A symmetrical position determination means determines, for the target for which the virtual wall has been set on its side, whether or not a target is present at a position which is symmetrical about the virtual wall. A speed determination means determines, when the target is present at the position which is symmetrical about the virtual wall, whether or not the speed of the target which is present at the position which is symmetrical about the virtual wall is within a predetermined range. A ghost determination means determines, when the speed of the target which is present at the position which is symmetrical about the virtual wall is within the predetermined range, that the target which is present at the position which is symmetrical about the virtual wall is a ghost. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
