The needle roller bearing cup comprises an inner cup (22) whose internal surface forms a raceway for the needle rollers. This is contained in a larger cup (24) which fits tightly over it and has a lip (26) at the top formed by a section of its walls which is longer than the walls of the inner cup. This can be deformed to hold the needle rollers in place. An Independent claim is included for a method for making the cup from sheet metal.
