An input means inputs, at intervals of a unit time, a current which is supplied from a substation. A first calculation means calculates a current variation amount per the unit time, based on the current which is input at the intervals of the unit time. A holding means holds, at the intervals of the unit time, a maximum value of the calculated current variation amount. A second calculation means calculates an operation amount by integrating the maximum value of the current variation amount held by the holding means at the intervals of the unit time. A detection means detects a fault in a section to which a current is supplied from the substation, based on the calculated operation amount. |
