PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which enables the suppression of the increase in thickness.SOLUTION: The display device comprises: a first organic layer 40a provided for each of a plurality of pixels and including a first light-emitting layer operable to emit light of a first color; a second organic layer 40b provided for each of the plurality of pixels, adjoining the first organic layer in a direction orthogonal to the thickness of the first organic layer, and including a second light-emitting layer operable to emit light of a second color which makes white when mixed with the first color; lower electrodes 26 provided under the first organic layer 40a and the second organic layer 40b respectively; upper electrodes 41 provided over the first organic layer 40a and the second organic layer 40b respectively; and color filters 44 provided over the first organic layer 40a and the second organic layer 40b for each of the plurality of pixels, and arranged to allow light in a particular wavelength range to pass therethrough. The first light-emitting layer 40a and the second light-emitting layer 40b are each caused to emit light by an electric current flowing from one of the lower electrode 26 and the upper electrode 41 to the other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
