PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more simple regeneration method of recovered casting sand which can achieve a high removal ratio of impurities and advantageously improve a casting quality and a mold strength.SOLUTION: Recovered casting sands 8 attached with a water soluble binder, and water are contained in a container 1. The inside of the container 1 is pressurized to 0.1 MPa or more and kept at 100°C or more. In this condition, a polishing process of polishing the recovered casting sand 8 is carried out, which removes the binder attached to the recovered casting sand 8, regenerating the recovered casting sand 8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
