PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter coloring composition allowing high-contrast pattern formation, and a colorant dispersion realizing a high-contrast color filter.SOLUTION: A colorant dispersion of the present invention contains a polymerizable compound (A) with an indane scaffold, a colorant (B), a dispersant (C) and a solvent (D). The polymerizable compound (A) with an indane scaffold is preferably an ethylenically unsaturated compound obtained by an esterification reaction between a polybasic acid anhydride and an epoxy adduct obtained by a reaction between an unsaturated monobasic acid and an epoxy compound represented by the general formula (I) in the figure.SELECTED DRAWING: None
