PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel pump capable of preferably restricting a transmittance of lateral force of a coil spring toward a plunger.SOLUTION: A fuel pump comprises a holed disk plate 18 of which inner periphery is engaged with a groove 17 formed at a protrusion side end part 12b of a plunger 12 and having an abutment 29 connecting an inner circumference with an outer circumference, and a coil spring 19 placed between the plate 18 and a pump body to push the plate 18 toward a lifter 20. Such a plate 18 of the fuel pump is assembled into the fuel pump in such a way that the abutment 29 is positioned in a reverse direction to a direction of a lateral force Fs generated when the coil spring 19 is compressed as seen from a center axis L1 of the coil spring 19.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
