摘要 At present aluminum is produced from Alumina Al2O3) by electrolysis in a process called Hall ¨Heroult process. The energy consumption is about 15 MW per ton of aluminum, Alumina is produced from aluminum ore by treatment with Caustic soda called Bayer Process Some additional energy expenditure. Due to these high energy requirements aluminum is produced where electricity made cheaply available. Per ton cost of cell grade Al is $2200/ton. I have introduced aluminum production through the use of H2 or CO,H2 at temperature of 1200 C or 1500C the net energy consumption is about 1.8 MW, All ingredient of aluminum ore namely Ca, Mg, Si, and Na2O are recovered and CO2 is recycled to CH4, C2H2, C3H4, The process is all automated and continuous with low man power requirements. Return on investment is high
