PROJECTION IMAGE DISPLAY MEMBER AND PROJECTION SYSTEM

[Problem] To provide a projection image display member and a projection system that have high oblique projection light reflectance and high transmittance. [Solution] The projection image display member includes a first base member, a second base member, and an optical member, wherein: at least one optical member is disposed on the surface of the first base member or the second base member; the optical member has a plurality of cholesteric liquid crystal dots; the cholesteric liquid crystal dots are made of a liquid crystal material having a cholesteric structure; the cholesteric structure gives a striped pattern of bright and dark parts in a cross sectional image of each dot taken by a scanning electron microscope in a direction perpendicular to a substrate; the dots each include a portion where the height thereof successively increases to the maximum height from an end portion toward the center thereof; an angle formed between a normal line with respect to a line formed by the first dark part from the surface of a dot opposite to the substrate and a line representing the surface of the dot ranges within 70-90 degrees in this portion of the cross sectional image; and a reflection center wavelength of the dot is any value in the range of 400-1000 nm.
