A device (1A) for manufacturing coil spring includes: a first continuous material mounting unit (4); a second continuous material mounting unit (5); a straightener (7); a cutting machine (8) for cutting material (2); a short, narrow material mounting unit (9) for mounting short, narrow material (2') that has been cut; and a coiling machine (10). Material (2) fed from first continuous material (2A) or second continuous material (2B) is cut by the cutting machine (8). The device (1A) for manufacturing a coil spring can switch between a first continuous material coiling step for manufacturing a coil spring using the material (2) fed from the first continuous material (2A), a second continuous material coiling step for manufacturing a coil spring using the material (2) fed from the second continuous material (2B), and a short, narrow material coiling step for manufacturing coil springs using the short, narrow material (2'). |
