<p>A method in which at least the data [I] and an image thereof [I'] are written into the accessible storage area Ac of a portable object (1). Said image [I'] is obtained by implementing a programme for encrypting the data [I]. The programme uses at least the data [I], a first item [Ks] which is external to the portable object and supplied to encrypting circuits (21) under the supervision of the operator, and a second item [Sid] which is unique to one portable object (1). Authenticity may subsequently be verified by determining whether an image [I'] was obtained by means of the first and second items, thus proving that the related data [I] is genuine.</p> |
