PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent combustion noise by optimumizing a combustion state of fuel injected by main injection and pilot injection at the time of a transient operation. SOLUTION: A decision means 83 decides between an operation state having a large deviation from a target value at the time of a steady operation of a measured value of oxygen content or oxygen amount during intake air, and an operation state having a comparatively small deviation from the target value of the measured value. Based on the decision result, in the case of the operation state having the large deviation from the target value of the measured value, in a control means 84, a little pilot injection quantity is injected on a comparatively advance angle side, the injection intervals of the pilot injection and the main injection are shortened and the main injection is completed before a compression top dead point. In the case of the operation state having the comparatively small deviation from the target value of the measured value, pilot injection quantity is comparatively increased, the injection intervals of the pilot injection and the main injection are lengthened, and the main injection is performed after combustion by pilot injection fuel is completely terminated. |
