PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shield machine and a shield cutting method capable of shortening an overall length in compliance with construction of an acute curved line section and reducing construction costs. SOLUTION: At least a part of the longitudinal direction part of a skin plate 3 constituting an outer shell of the shield machine 20 is constructed of a combination of a front side cylindrical body 3A and a rear side cylindrical body 3B arranged coaxially with each other and separably in the axial direction. The front side cylindrical body 3A and the rear side cylindrical body 3B are connected together while their outer circumferential faces arranged to make flush with each other. |
