PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink container for an ink jet printer which does not impair the stabilization of an ink discharge following the generation of a foreign substance and has sufficient strength and good transportability. SOLUTION: In the ink container for an ink jet printer, the film impact of a layer coming into contact with an ink is 100 J/cm or more. In addition, an ink supply system for the ink jet printer comprises the ink container storing the ink for the ink jet printer and an ink flow path which supplies the ink from the ink container to a recording head. The plane coming into contact with the ink of an ink supply line from the ink container to the recording head is formed of a thermoplastic resin containing 500 ppm or less of fatty acids.
