Device for producing optical glass fibers (5) from preforms (11) comprises heating bushings (15) having a matrix-like arrangement for simultaneously receiving several preforms. The glass fibers drawn from the heating bushings are received by a drawing and sizing device (3). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Process for the production of glass fibers from performs using the above device; and (2) Heating bushing used in the above device.
