PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soldering iron capable of favorably preventing electric troubles including an electric short circuit and facilitating the work while the soldering iron is constituted to a minimum size, and to provide a manufacturing method of the soldering iron. SOLUTION: The soldering iron has an iron tip with a front end portion 21 thereof capable of melting solder. A fitting recessed part 25 cut out in a substantially columnar shape from an opened base end 22 of the iron tip 20 to the front end portion 21 of the iron tip 20 is formed inside the iron tip 20.
