摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with which a transition voltage is reduced by facilitating transition nucleus formation of liquid crystal molecules, so as to reduce power consumption of the display device and to improve response speed and gray scale display efficiency of the display device, and a method for fabricating the same. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes: a substrate 100; scan lines 1 and video signal lines 3 arranged on the substrate 100 such that the scan lines 1 cross the video signal lines 3; a plurality of unit pixel regions A defined by the scan lines 1 and the video signal lines 3; a thin film transistor region Tr positioned on a cross region of the scan lines 1 cross the video signal lines 3 such that the thin film transistor region Tr is positioned over at least two of the unit pixel regions A; pixel electrodes 140 overlapped with at least a part of the thin film transistor region Tr while being positioned on the unit pixel regions A; a counter substrate 200 positioned apart from the substrate 100 and equipped with a common electrode 215, the counter substrate 200 opposing the substrate 100; and a liquid crystal layer 155 interposed between the substrate 100 and the counter substrate 200.
