An automotive airbag has a gas sack (1) with a chamber (10) that when triggered is filled with gas from a gas generator (29). The chamber has a ventilation opening that is closed by a gas guide (5). The gas guide is attached via a strap (6) fixed to an attachment point (8). The gas guide is folded outside on one side of the gas sack (1).
