A digital broadcasting receiver embedding an expansion power unit and a broadcasting receiving system using the same are provided to allow a user to view DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) for a long time by including an RF(Radio Frequency) receiving unit, a channel chip, and the expansion power unit, reducing power consumption, and performing an expansion battery function for a battery installed in a body. An RF receiving unit(110) has an antenna(111) for receiving a signal transmitted through a transmitting station. A channel chip(120) converts the signal received in the RF receiving unit(110) into a digital signal. An expansion power unit(130) supplies power to a body which decodes the digital signal converted in the channel chip(120). A connecting unit(140) is connected with the body to transmit the digital signal converted by the channel chip(120) to the body. A sensing unit(141) senses the connection between the body and a digital broadcasting receiver and notifies the body of it.
