<p>The present invention relates to GPR91, a purinergic receptor-like polypeptide, its expression in mast cells, and its use in the diagnosis and/or treatment of mast cell mediated diseases, including allergic and nonallergic asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), allergic rhinitis, anaphylaxis, allergic gastrointestinal disease, atopic dermatitis, rheumatoid arthritis, and other allergic, autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
