DATA PROCESSING DEVICE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clearly display the change of trend information and factors thereof.

SOLUTION: A corpus acquiring part 41 acquires a corpus from a corpus providing device 20 as information to be a source for extracting trend information. A trend information extracting part 42 extracts trend information to be a processing object from the acquired corpus. A factor information extracting part 43 extracts information estimated to be a factor of a change in the extracted trend information. A keyword extracting part 44 extracts a keyword estimated to be useful to analyze the trend information. A trend information displaying part 45 generates a graph showing fluctuations of the extracted trend information. A factor information displaying part 46 adjusts factor information to be a factor of fluctuations of the trend information to the graph generated by the trend information displaying part 45 and displays the factor information. The factor information displaying part 46 extracts and displays the factor information useful to analyze the trend information according to a prescribed condition.
