<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically upgrade the firmware of customer station communication equipment by simple operation without manual intervention concerning a method of upgrading the domestic communication equipment, and station side communication equipment. <P>SOLUTION: In a communication system where the customer station communication equipment and the station side communication equipment are connected through a subscriber line, a connecting state of the customer station communication equipment and the station side communication equipment is monitored (1-1). When the customer station communication equipment is shifted to the connecting state, a file of a download object firmware stored in the file storage area of the station side communication equipment is compared with the engineering level of the firmware read from the customer station communication equipment (1-3). When determining that the file of the download object firmware is larger than the engineering level read from the communication equipment, the file of the download object firmware stored in the file storage area is downloaded to the customer station communication equipment (1-4 to 1-7) to rewrite the firmware of the domestic communication equipment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
