The device has a voltage situation determining device (14) for determining voltage situations at a component (16) of a turbine (12). A life span consumption determining device (18) determines a life span consumption of the turbine in dependence of the characteristic of the determined voltage situations at the component. An indicating device (20) indicates the voltage situations at the component during the operation of the turbine. An independent claim is also included for a method for monitoring operation of a turbine.
