PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a recording/reproducing device and method which allow a user to quickly and easily find a target chapter or scene.SOLUTION: In a recording/reproducing device for recording/reproducing video information of a scene by imaging on/from a predetermined first recording medium and capable of setting one or a plurality of chapters for each scene, imaged video based on the video information is subjected to face recognition processing, importance is set for each chapter on the basis of result of face recognition processing for an important person, and then a chapter of corresponding importance is reproduced selectively on the basis of the importance for each chapter. |
