In a vehicle seat having components (2, 3) which are movable relative to each other and at least one load-transmitting element (4, 41, 42) that transmits actuating forces and/or loads resulting from use of the vehicle seat from one component (2, 3) to the other, the load-transmitting element (4, 41, 42) is connected to both components (2, 3) by at least one linkage element (5) and, together with the at least one linkage element (5), forms a single part of at least one of the two components (2).
