PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high-accuracy focus adjustment with small arithmetic load.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus positions and synthesizes a plurality of images each other, and detects a focus state on the basis of information on an overlapped region of the plurality of synthesized images. If a photographing direction is not changed, the imaging apparatus positions an image 21d' before positioning to the plurality of positioned images. If the photographing direction is changed, the imaging apparatus calculates a positioning amount for positioning one of the plurality of positioned images to the image 21g before positioning. By applying the positioning amount to the remaining positioned images, the plurality of positioned images are positioned to the image before positioning. |
