<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the constitution of cable and drum of a drain cleaning device without reducing transmission torque and to enable an operator to perform drain cleaning work without touching the cable. SOLUTION: At the inner end of a drain cleaning cable wound in the rotatable drum 14 of the drain cleaning device, a torque arm frictionally engaged with the outer wall of the drum 14 is provided to restrain slippage of the cable to the drum during drain cleaning work. A cable feeding device 122 for axially displacing the cable to the drum is provided with a flexible guide pipe 196 removably fitted thereto. An operator guides the outer end of the cable to inside the drain to move the cable forwards and backwards without touching it.</p> |
