Communication occurs between a server and a terminal. The terminal establishes a first communication path with the server via a first address to initiate a communication session, and the server allocates an identification reference to a communication session upon initiation of the communication session. During the communication session the server receives a data packet including the identification reference and a second address from a second communication path, and the server maintains the communication session by identifying the identification reference and communicating with the terminal via the second address.
