<p>Rotary encoder has an encoder body and a shaft rotationally mounted within the body. The encoder is mounted in a torsion-proof manner and axially sprung in a housing (20) that is mounted on the mounting surface. The encoder shaft (10) is mounted on and coupled to the shaft whose position is to be measured. A stop (30, 42) is mounted on the housing and can be moved between a locking and a release position. In the locking position, the encoder shaft is held and fixed to the housing. In the released position is it free to move in a sprung manner in the housing.</p> |
