<p>An earthquake resistant elastic column capable of providing sufficient deformability and damping to the column itself such as a pier at low cost. Since the earthquake resistant elastic column (10) is formed by binding a plurality of column members (11a to 11f) with arresting parts (15a, 15b), frictional forces between the adjacent members (11a to 11f) can be controlled by regulating the arresting forces of the arresting parts (15a, 15b). Thus, the sufficient deformability and damping can be provided to the earthquake resistant elastic column (10).</p> |
