PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, wherein since a red component is absorbed under water, if the red component is filled up and it adjusts to a natural light at nearer white balance, underwater photography-likeness will be impaired. SOLUTION: To a white balance control circuit 18, a table is stored in which intrinsic factors (correction factors)αs,βs, andγs to underwater photography are stored as the coefficients (correction factors) of white balance. The factorsαs,βs, andγs are set in balancing which serves as a tone which emphasized blue component and blueness cut so that the underwater photography is emphasized. If the underwater photography is set, an automatic white balance will not function, the factorsαs,βs, andγs are automatically selected and used. If the white balance of the operation, which multiplies the factorsαs,βs, andγs to the outputs of the red R, the green G and the blue B, is performed, blueing effect is emphasized as a whole, and the image of the atmosphere photoed underwater is photoed.
