The mouse has control units such as functional surfaces (4,5) and functional keys (7) whose arrangement is derived from the finger movement based on a resting posture, where the mouse has a three-dimensional form. A toothed portion (9) is provided between the functional keys, where the toothed portion serves during a cableless operation of the mouse.
