<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method in piping system capable of shortening a cleaning time in the piping system. <P>SOLUTION: In the cleaning method in piping system in which the inside of the piping system 1 causing an organic material-containing fluid to flow therethrough between positions having different heights is cleaned, steam is injected into the inner part of the piping system 1 and the steam discharges drain from the lower side than a position 60 where the steam is injected to the inner part of the piping system 1 to the outside of the piping system 1. Thereby, a flow from the upper side to the down side is formed in the inner part of the piping system 1 and the residence of the drain in the piping system 1 is suppressed by making the steam and the drain flow in the same direction.
