Footwear comprises a base 1 and a top section 7 for example a strap that is releasably attached to the base of the footwear, thereby allowing the top section to be replaced. Replacement top sections may be made from a different material, colour or style. Preferably the top section 7 has connection members 4, 5 and 6 and the base 1 has apertures 2 and a recess 3 for receiving the connection members 6. The connection members are T shaped, where the horizontal member 6 is pivotally attached to allow the horizontal member to be rotated to a vertical position to allow the connector to pass through the aperture in the base and then rotated to a horizontal position to engage with the recesses 3 in the sole thereby preventing the connector from disengaging from the base of the footwear. |
