PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device with structural components having added values for improving sealing performance without the need for arranging a seal with high sealing performance. SOLUTION: In the wheel bearing device, a cup-shaped cap 12 is mounted which consists of a cylindrical fitting portion 14a to be internally fitted to the end of an outward member 2 and a bottom portion 14b having a rotating speed sensor mounting part 15, for closing an opening portion on the inner side of the outward member 2. A pulser ring 18 consists of a supporting ring 19 formed of a steel plate with pressing work and having a cylinder portion 19a pressed into the outer diameter of an inner ring 5 and a rising plate portion 19b extending from the end on the inner side of the cylinder portion 19a inward in the radial direction, and a magnetic encoder 20 using an elastomer mixed with magnetic powder and having a rubber magnet whose magnetic poles N, S are alternately magnetized in the peripheral direction. A plurality of fins 22 are integrally cure-adhered to the magnetic encoder 20 in the peripheral direction of the supporting ring 19. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
