PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To request an optimal sub-channel, when shifting from communication with one transmitter to communication with two transmitters. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a receiver employing an OFDMA system utilizing frequency bands, constituted of a plurality of sub-channels for receiving signals transmitted by adding different phase rotations, respectively, from a plurality of transmitting antennas of a transmitter, wherein the transmitter is notified of request information regarding the phase rotations to be added for the unit of a sub-channel.
