PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: when pixels around gray edge pixels in bit map data have a deep color, if the gray edge pixels are reproduced only with a K toner, white voids may be generated when a printer engine causes color shift.SOLUTION: There is provided an image processing apparatus that makes gray pixels included in image data in a bit map format into a single black color, and includes: detection means for, when target pixels in the image data are pixels constituting an edge, detecting pixels present in the vicinity of the target pixels and having a different color from that of the target pixels; and determination means for determining the ratio of the monochromatization processing with respect to the target pixels being the pixels constituting the edge on the basis of a distance from the detected pixels having a different color.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
