<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact steer-by wire apparatus capable of performing steering operation by an occupant without any sense of incongruity, and capable of accurately coping with a failure. <P>SOLUTION: The steer-by-wire apparatus 1 used for a vehicle for rotating a front wheel to a toe direction with respect to a frame 12 by rotation of a steering 11 includes a rotation angle acquiring member 2 for acquiring a rotation angle of the steering 11, actuators 3 and 4 for generating driving force in accordance with the angle acquired by the rotation angle acquiring member 2, and a connection shaft 5 for transmitting the driving force of the actuators 3 and 4 to rotation of the front wheel to the toe direction. The connection shaft 5 is moved to a first state wherein output of the actuators 3 and 4 is transmitted to rotation of the front wheel to the toe direction and a second state wherein rotation force of the steering 11 is transmitted to rotation of the front wheel to the toe direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
