Disclosed are a network fault detection method and device, the network fault detection method comprising: receiving a network fault detection command of a client, the network fault detection command comprising an identifier of a tunnel to be tested; according to the identifier of the tunnel to be tested, determining network elements included in the tunnel to be tested; sending a packet counting command to the network elements, so that the network elements, according to the packet counting command, count the numbers of packets received and/or issued by the network elements; receiving packet counting results sent by the network elements, and according to the packet counting results, determining whether the network elements are faulty, the packet counting results comprising the numbers of packets received and/or issued by the network elements. |
