PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a chance for shooting from being missed by allowing communication between an imaging unit and a communication device being maintained on the top of keeping down the power consumption of the imaging unit.SOLUTION: An imaging unit 100 capable of being attached to a communication device 200 and used comprises: imaging means; communication means for communicating with the communication device 200 by radio; and transition means that maintains communication with the communication device by the communication means and shifts to a low power consumption state 502 consuming less power than an operation state if it is determined that first operation is performed in the operation state in which imaging by the imaging means and data communication by the communication means are enabled and the imaging unit is attached to the communication device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
