PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device capable of realizing restriction of deterioration of a start clutch showing a low cooling performance.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a vehicle control device having an automatic transmission for connecting or disconnecting a transmission of power force between a power force source and a driving wheel of a vehicle under control in engagement of a plurality of engaging means having engaging elements frictionally engaged to each other and showing different cooling performance. The vehicle control device comprises: estimating means for estimating temperatures of a plurality of engaging means; sharing rate setting means for setting a sharing rate for sharing a rotation number difference between an input shaft rotation number of an automatic transmission and an output shaft rotation number multiplied by a transmission ratio, on a rotation number difference at slip states of the plurality of engaging means; and slip control means for setting the plurality of engaging means to slip states on the basis of the set sharing rate. When a temperature of the engaging means where a cooling performance after turning-on operation of an accelerator is the lowest is estimated to exceed an allowable temperature of engaging means, a correction is carried out to cause a sharing rate of the engaging means having the lowest cooling performance to become low.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
