<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition giving a uniform image having higher light fastness than usual and preventing a problem inhibiting reliability such as fill-in by including a specific hindered amine-based compound in an ink composition for ink jet recording comprising a dye, etc. SOLUTION: This ink composition contains (A) a dye such as C.I. direct.blue 199 or a pigment such as pigment.yellow 12, (B) a wetting agent such as diethylene glycol, (C) an ink composition for ink jet recording containing water and (D) a compound of formula I R1 is H, a lower alkyl or a group of the formula: -[CH2-CH(R2)-O]m-M; R2 is H, a lower alkyl or a group of the formula: -CH2SO3M, M is H or an alkali metal; (n) and (m) are each average unit number of alkylene oxide and (n)>=(m)>=3} (e.g. a compound of formula II), preferably in an amount of 1-5 wt.% of the component A and 5-20 wt.% of the component B.</p> |
