<p>A method and an apparatus for transmitting/receiving emergency warning information are provided to allow a user to receive the emergency warning information for a long time by lowering power consumption. A broadcasting signal is received. A transmission period of emergency warning information is acquired. The emergency warning information is included in a channel information frame used to deliver fast channel information of the broadcasting signal. The emergency warning information is determined according to the transmission period for the emergency warning information. The channel information frame is an FIC(Fast Information Channel) frame. The transmission period is included in extension 2 of a type 5 data field of an FIG(Fast Information Group).</p> |
