PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus, an image processing method, and an image processing program capable of obtaining a more proper correction image by discriminating a photographed scene of an image acquired, by photographing with high accuracy and applying correction processing to the image, depending on the photographed scene. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with a first image acquisition means for acquiring a first image by photographing; a first luminance information acquisition means for acquiring first luminance information in a prescribed first region from a photometric value of a photographing region calculated at the photographing; a second luminance information acquisition means for acquiring second luminance information in a second region around the first region from a photometric value of a photographing region calculated at the photographing; a scene discrimination processing means for discriminating photographing scene, on the basis of the first luminance information, the second luminance information and the first image which are acquired; and a gradation processing condition setting means for setting a gradation processing condition to the first image, on the basis of a discrimination result by the scene discrimination processing means.
