PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable device with an AM radio capable of reducing noise mixed into wiring drawn from a bar antenna. SOLUTION: A mobile phone 100 comprises a bar antenna 22 including a magnetic core and an antenna coil wound around the magnetic core, and an AM radio tuner unit 20 which performs AM detection processing on a broadcasting wave received by the bar antenna 22 and outputting an audio signal after detection. The AM radio tuner unit 20 is a single-chip component formed on a semiconductor substrate, excepting for partial external components, and the single-chip component is disposed near the bar antenna 22.
