PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultra-miniaturized and ultra-lower piezoelectric vibration device that can be easily adjusted in characteristics and improved in airtight properties. SOLUTION: The surface-mounting type crystal vibrator is formed of a first case, jointed to a piezoelectric vibrating plate 2 with a frame and to the lower part of the relevant piezoelectric vibrating plate and a second case 3 jointed to the upper part of the relevant piezoelectric vibrating plate with frame. The piezoelectric vibrating plate 1 with frame is formed of a flat-plate type AT-cut crystal vibrating plate and frame bodies 11 are formed keeping the predetermined interval 10e to the crystal vibrating plate 10 and its external circumference. The piezoelectric vibrating plate with frame and the second case are jointed, by using a second jointing material (metal brazing material) and a metal film 14 of the frame and a metal film of the second case are jointed with a second joining material (metal brazing material). Accordingly, the piezoelectric vibrating plate with frame and the second case are jointed, resulting in air-tightness.
