<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a management system for power saving of an apparatus equipped with communication function. <P>SOLUTION: When an information detecting part of a host device detects a start signal (S101), a client device receives power from a power supply line (S103) when a power line power supply control part turns on the switch (S102). Then, the switch of the client device is turned on (S104), and communication with the host device is established (S105 and 106). A judging part of the host device discriminates an optimum operation mode based on the detection information of the information detecting part (S107).
