<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform optimal directivity control over all the band in a multicarrier transmission type mobile communication system. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of pilot signal correlation operating sections 21 are provided for operating a mutual correlation with a pilot signal with respect to a sub carrier signal group for each divided band received by an array antenna 1, and a direction is estimated by calculating a spatial profile from a correlative matrix obtained by a correlative matrix generating section 22 for synthesizing a correlative value between array antenna elements of different sub carrier signals based on outputs therefrom. Thus, accuracy in direction estimation for each divided band is ensured even under frequency selective phasing. Furthermore, an angle spread of the entire band is calculated and by switching a directivity control method in accordance with the spread, optimal directivity control can be performed over all the band, thereby reducing user interference. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
